Hello! I’m Abby Miles, the new Product Manager for OpenSesame. With nearly a decade of experience in the training and software industry, I am really excited to join the OpenSesame team.
My previous experience has perfectly prepared me to understand the OpenSesame business and our customers. I held multiple positions at an LMS company (learning management system) – most recently as the product manager, but I also held past positions in marketing, training, project management and software implementation. While working in varied positions and building relationships with many trainers, I learned the challenges and the frustration of finding quality courseware that is both accessible and meets their curriculum needs.
Following my time working in training, I held a Project Manager role at another local tech company that developed a POS (Point of Sale) software. This role opened my eyes to the wide world of commerce in software and all aspects that can come into play.
I love working in technology and developing solutions that help solve our customers’ biggest headaches. OpenSesame is always looking for ways to simplify their solution while offering more and more capabilities.
My world outside of software consists of enjoying all of Oregon’s nature—spending time at the coast, in the desert and up in the mountains. My husband and I love gardening, camping, raising chickens and volunteering at our neighborhood farmer’s market. I’m a Portland native, fanatic Portland Trail Blazers fan and I love working in the growing tech industry in this beautiful city.
