Strivr named to Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies for 2020

Fast Company, 2020 Most Innovative Companies

For the second year in a row, Strivr has been named to Fast Company’s prestigious annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies.

The list honors the businesses making the most profound impact on both industry and culture, showcasing a variety of ways to thrive in today’s fast-changing world.

“Virtual Reality in enterprise learning is one of the first home-run applications for this powerful technology. Strivr has developed the world’s only end-to-end Immersive Learning platform, built specifically for enterprises that aim to invest in their people through the use of VR at-scale,” said Derek Belch, Strivr CEO. “We are thrilled to be recognized by Fast Company as part of this elite list of Most Innovative Companies for 2020, and look forward to bringing continued innovation to the learning and HR markets.”

With roots extending back to the Stanford Virtual Human Interaction Lab, Strivr’s Immersive Learning solutions combine cutting-edge VR technology with advanced learning theory, data science, and spatial design to deliver experiential training that is highly engaging and effective. With learning as the #1 human capital trend around the world, Strivr’s Immersive Learning platform has allowed today’s largest companies to deliver this improved training at scale. Strivr’s offering also provides data insights that indicate proficiency, as well as predict how learners will perform in the real world.

With Strivr’s Immersive Learning platform, companies are recognizing impact across three levels:

1. Employee engagement and knowledge retention – VR captures the undivided attention of learners, helping them truly learn and get better at their jobs. Results show that between 97-100% of learners feel more prepared after VR training, according to customer case studies.

2. Business savings and improved efficiency – Employee performance improves when training with Immersive Learning, and time spent training significantly reduces. Companies have reported that time spent training for certain programs reduced from hours to minutes without losing effectiveness.

3. Culture creation and reinforcement Immersive Learning helps learners embody the culture of the organization, helping to spread and reinforce it. “It’s changed people’s lives, not just because they know how to do their job, but we’re giving opportunities to do things that they never thought they could do or would have had the opportunity to do before. That’s really incredible,” said Andy Trainor, VP of US Learning at Walmart.

Fast Company’s editors and writers sought out the most groundbreaking businesses on the planet and across myriad industries. They also judged nominations received through their application process.

The World’s Most Innovative Companies is Fast Company’s signature franchise and one of its most highly anticipated editorial efforts of the year. It provides both a snapshot and a road map for the future of innovation across the most dynamic sectors of the economy.

“At a time of increasing global volatility, this year’s list showcases the resilience and optimism of businesses across the world. These companies are applying creativity to solve challenges within their industries and far beyond,” said Fast Company senior editor Amy Farley, who oversaw the issue with deputy editor David Lidsky.
