Using motion paths in PowerPoint is fun, but also kind of complicated. Probably the most complicated aspect of using motion paths is continuing the motion from slide-to-slide. You want an image on your slide to move using a custom motion path. On the next slide you want the image to move from where it ended on the previous slide to a new location.

If you know that the first audio file ends after 1:35 and you'll be on your third slide then, then you would put the second audio file on the third slide and set it to play after 1:35.    Insert the audio file on the slide on which you would like the audio to begin ( Insert > Audio ).   Select Audio Tools Playback > Play across slides.

Recently I was asked if it was possible to paste link an image into PowerPoint so that if the original image is ever updated, the image in PowerPoint would automatically reflect the change. Sadly, PowerPoint cannot do this, but there are some types of source files that can be Paste linked. In that case, the content in the PowerPoint slide will automatically update.

You can make the image semi-transparent or use the recolor image feature in PowerPoint and Storyline. You can remove backgrounds from the image in a graphics editor or PowerPoint.

This PowerPoint user wanted to be able to create multiple charts with the same formatting (ie bars on a graph with a gradient effect) without having to individually format each separate piece of every new chart. An attempt at copying and pasting the slide using the Keep Source Fformatting option did not keep the chart's formatting. In PowerPoint, select your chart on the slide.
