DevLearn DDX 2020: Week 2 Recap

It was fully online, called the “DevLearn Digital Experience” (DDX). All of the participants had the ability to turn on their cameras and to unmute themselves. DevLearn was different this year. Even online, it was a great experience. As part of my reflection, I always try to pull out one or two key ideas from each session.

I used the default camera options; I could have spent a lot more time tweaking the angles if I’d wanted. Besides the more informative presentations like this one, wouldn’t this be a cool tool for digital storytelling? But as a proof of concept, I think this works pretty well. You could have your characters act out a dialog.

Phones with cameras can start to identify places in them. Example: sending students out with cameras and sharing geotagged images, mashup images with Google Maps.
