Legacy Bank helps employees stay compliant with important changes

“Being a federally regulated financial institution, there is a plethora of information and educational material that needs to be disseminated to our team. Aside from the easily ignored mass email method and in person training, we wanted a more effective means to not just get the information out there, but more importantly to know it was received, digested and absorbed as well as to be able to track our communications. q.MINDshare has proven to be the answer to those needs.

Q is used in numerous ways and is deployed bank-wide, including our executive team. We use it to present new subject matter, provide reinforcement of previously introduced material, and most importantly to measure the successful retention of training. The analysis and feedback through Q allows us to be perpetually able to assess the adequacy of our training program and make necessary adjustments. New employee job specific tracks have been created as a follow up compliment to initial job training. The snippets of information sent to the new employee not only reinforce initially presented materials, but also present new material in a fashion that allows the new hire to learn on the job and expand their knowledge base.

We’ve also used Q to conduct and tabulate employee surveys, to send out scheduled reminders for things such as expense report due dates and project due dates.

Q has been a truly valued tool in providing records of required training and testing of employees to auditors and federal regulators. These third party examiners have been truly impressed with the means by which we are able to present a detailed snapshot of materials presented, the target audience in receipt of the materials as well as the important follow up testing results. To my knowledge, Q is a unique one-of-a-kind tool. It’s impossible to compare Q to the status quo technologies used in our industry like email, webinars and the like. Q has been better received and more effective than any other technology utilized by our company. There’s no question that email allowed us to disburse information, but that’s where the comfort in the process ends – knowing the information ‘was sent.’ Q gives us confirmed participation data and most importantly measurable retention.

Q also serves the perfect complement to online and web-based training. By implementing a process through which there were Q follow-up questions after online and web-based, we found that employee retention improved dramatically. We were able to steer additional reinforcement targeted at those individuals identified by Q as requiring expanded instruction. The support at count5 has proven to be an invaluable resource. Not being particularly ‘techie’ I’m sure I’ve asked for help in matters beyond the scope of their product, but have found them to be incredibly accommodating, going well beyond the ‘call of duty.’

The best testament to the exceptional benefits the utilization of Q has brought to us comes from the FDIC in their regulatory examination of our bank – Our Q reports absolutely WOWED the FDIC!
