Do you have a platform such as Webex , LiveMeeting , Elluminate or Centra that allows this?
Now, back to the Winter Games.

Whether small, medium or large in size, organizations have been or are set to grapple with remote based leadership issues. I believe there are some compelling reasons why this is going to snowball quite soon,

The latest version of Adobe PhotoShop and Flash, Lectora, Adobe Captivate, Plateau (LMS), Adobe Connect, and Saba's Centra to name a few. We also have a game course where they create interactive games for learning to solve the needs of a client (again the students interact with external clients and produce a solution to their problem). With virtual classrooms and other tools we've had people like Clark Aldrich, Donald and Jame Kirkpatrick The discussion that Cammy Bean and I have gotten into concerning " Accidental Instructional Designers " and When " Accidental Instructional Designers become Intentional " has brought about a number of interesting discussions about the skills of ID people and what ID programs should look like and I realized that: People who haven't been in Bloomsburg's ID program don't realize what we teach in our ID program There seem to be ID programs out there that fall short and that is giving people an unrealistic image of what a quality ID program really is.

So virtual immersive environments that allow a person to create an ideal image of themselves is an alternative that many people like. Virtual Classrooms are Really Boring We've all multi-tasked while attending a WebEx, Centra Session or an Adobe Connect presentation. Am I right? __ Catalog of Recommended Books, Games and Gadgets Recommended Games and Gadgets Recommended Books Content Guide
...Tags: S top, proceed with caution. While I think there are many legitimate reasons why an organization should partake in virtual immersive environments (VIEs) for learning and collaboration, there are also some "less-than-comfortable" reasons organizations are leaning in this direction.

For example: in 2003, the low estimate for developing One Hour of Instructor-led, Web-based training delivery (using software such as Centra, Adobe Connect, or WebEx-two-way live audio with PowerPoint)was 30 hours and the high estimate was 80 hours. What do you think, I'd love to have your feedback on "one hour of e-learning development time." __ Catalog of Recommended Books, Games and Gadgets Recommended Games and Gadgets Recommended Books Content Guide

They have sensed an overlap between virtual worlds , games , and educational simulations on one hand, and yet they know that one does not equal the other. Virtual worlds are vast social environments and interactive toolsets. Games are fun ways to gain exposure and familiarity with some tools and ideas. Likewise, virtual worlds Many practitioners have been struck by a paradox. Educational simulations are rigorous processes to develop specific skills to be directly transferred into the productive world.

The first software element that makes up a virtual world is a synchronous learning tool similar to WebEx or Adobe Connect or Saba’s Centra. When a person, in the form of an avatar, creates an object such as a briefcase or laptop, they can share that item with other people. While these software elements are available in many different programs, what pulls all of them together is the fact that the social networking, real-time interactions and creation of content is done in a world similar to video game interfaces where characters and the environment are rendered in three-dimension. Using a virtual world or metaverse for training is not as science-fiction as it sounds.

Some highlights: "Saba" searches are down; "moodle" is up The term "e-learning" is down year over year "Podcasting" actually peaked in 2005 and has flattened out My own fun with GoogleTrends shows: "Authorware" peaking in 2004 and then tanking and "Toolbook" low and slowly decending For synchronous solutions all are basically flat but Centra is highest, followed by WebEx, and then LiveMeeting and GoToMeeting are hugging the bottom Play with GoogleTrends yourself...how’s Read . In a 3D world, the interaction with the students feels more intimate than with a 2-D distance learning application such as Centra, Horizon Wimba or Adobe Connect. Additionally, it is important because I have students work with each other in teams and the closeness of the virtual world helps foster trust among the students and they work well together virtually because they have a sense of one another. __ Catalog of Recommended Books, Games and Gadgets Recommended Games and Gadgets Recommended Books Content Guid Sitting around a conference table for class.
