Informal quarterly reviews were differentiator between best in class and those not. Best-of-class (top 20%) - want to have metrics. Best in class - training organization design. Measurement Must be done the way the business does itself. Profitability. Not a top priority. Talk about it. Don't actually do as much as they should.

When I first started teaching, I felt that much class time was wasted as I wrote stuff on the board and had them feverishly trying to take notes to keep up. Now I would definitely be using a Wiki for my class notes and syllabi - it's just easier. Unfortunately, that's how I went through school and so I did the same thing.

The only free Flash Quiz Tool that I know anything about is Class Marker - a free flash quiz tool. If you think about it, shouldn't the Flash Cards for most K-8 classes be similar? It also does some interesting things: Allows users to categorize flash cards, mark them as being associated with particular text books, and then helps with the sharing of content. You can copy an existing deck and easily modify.

I've similarly used Wikis in conjunction with a class environment, and it's quite natural, especially if you have collaborative exercises defined for the students. ("I'm not telling you.") A couple of great examples. Both are uses in smaller workgroups which is probably an early place to look for adoption.

This is now the case for text-to-speech: it’s not yet perfect, but it is good enough for a whole class of applications, especially eLearning and training. Further, teachers will be able to share resources and lesson plans - which is something my mother (a second grade teacher for 30+ years) would have done. It all makes way too much sense.
