We of course know Jobs as the man who gave us the Macintosh, the iPod, the iPad and the iPhone and essentially established the “Church of Apple” with all its loyal fans. When Jobs returned to Apple in 1997, he had a somewhat better understanding of how to communicate the emotions he was feeling and how to articulate his vision to others.

Having knowledge of a server side programming language like J2EE, PHP, or ASP.Net will certainly help as any reasonably sophisticated iPhone app will require communication with third party services for data. Knowledge of web services like Restful (for communication) and JSON for data interchange is an added plus. Estimate Days.

You can consume the contents of books, DVDs and iPods – or their online equivalents – whenever you want; you have similar flexibility when you communicate using email, forums, SMS and social networks. Asynchronous media work at your pace – there is no requirement for you to be ‘in synch’ with anyone else.

When my dad fell ill this past fall and I knew I had to be with him, I brought along some clothes, my laptop, cell phone, and my iPod Touch 4. I visited my dad every day in the hospital, bringing along my laptop and iPod. I acted like it was a regular school day. I would set up my laptop and go straight to my school email.

Unlike SWFs, projects published as HTML5 will not only play on the Apple iPad, iPhone and the iPod, but the lessons will retain any interactivity that you added to the slides (such as click boxes and buttons). I pointed out that HTML5 is an alternative publishing format to a SWF.

Learners using an Apple mobile device such as the iPad, iPod and iPhone (that's millions upon millions of potential learners) cannot use SWF content at all. According to Adobe, the Flash Player is installed on the vast majority of the word's computers. Of course, SWFs have a problem.

Since it’s ultimately all about communicating with people, we leverage the communication channels to do so. I think an iPod Touch with a mifi card is a better deal for me. I’d love to have a mifi-like device that I can snap to my iPod Touch. Most people don’t care about Articulate.
