Deployment through much friendlier and more usable platforms than your traditional LMS. I’m also beginning to see some changes to the way that your good old e-learning tutorial is presented. A shift in emphasis from knowledge exposition to skill-building using challenging scenarios. Better art direction and much more use of video.

There's only ever one current version and this can be exported at any time for deployment on an LMS or on CD-ROM. I did find the asset upload facility clunky in comparison with other tools I've used, requiring as it does a separate log-in to an FTP (file transfer) site.

Are apps the future of e-learning?

By comparison, I find that I hardly ever use the browser on my iPhone, mainly because most sites are unreadable or unusable. The point is, would you want the content to be packaged up in individual apps or accessed from a gateway app (like iTunes, iBooks or YouTube or a full-scale LMS) that provides a library of content?
