When to use #Gamification

Gamification can also be done at the content level where the compliance online training module is turned into a “who-done-it” to find where the compliance violation took place. Adding game-elements can be done at the structural level of gamification through points and badges. This is adding a game layer on top of existing curriculum.

Two Types of #Gamification

For example, adding story elements to a compliance course or starting a course with a challenge instead of a list of objectives are both methods of content gamification. Although, it is possible to add elements of story, characters and other game elements to structural gamification the content does not change to become game-like.
