Aside from the Push format, problems included no hashtag, no Tweeting, no backchannel, no power outlets, inoperable wi-fi (for me, at least), slow wi-fi at the podium cut several presentations short, weak visuals overall, and no encouragement to network online (although many probably already know one another). A few highlights.

Re-imagining the Book

What format is best for what content (think iPad and smartphone)? They aren’t very good at converting theory into practice. Most managers don’t read books; they gather information on the web. eBooks are overtaking printed books. Should I design the book for print (i.e. by chapter) or for web (i.e. hyperlinked)? This planted a seed.
