They also have publishers (3rd party) and those are an additional cost. SumTotal (Learning Management) – $$$ to $$$$. SumTotal seems to have the same issue as Cornerstone, when it comes to metrics/analytics – a lot there, bad UI/UX. Actually, SumTotal’s is far worse. I like that. Mobile is good.

And I know folks who leave them are usually unhappy for various reasons, but I can tell you that I have had two in-depth meetings with SumTotal including one with the VP of Customer Service/Support and have seen the metrics. Not a fan of extra charge for a sandbox after you go live, nor additional costs for tenants (after an initial free one). They are on F indAnLMS.com.

Especially on the vendor side, whereas pricing for systems, dropped in cost. Many vendors stopped charging for APIs, per seat costs were in the low to mid 20’s for 1,000 learners, with some vendors going lower. Honestly, buying SumTotal would make more sense, but nevertheless, it is Saba. Best of all it is 100% Free.

SumTotal – you buy every mod – HCM. I still am baffled on why “Discovery, Coach and Share” is an additional cost – for Learn. If you tell folks you are an HCM, and you want said folks looking only for learning, congrats you can say goodbye to landing them. Customer Ed? HCM and ERP and the list goes on.
