eLearning Contractor. For about 5 months I took on a contractor position doing some basic work on eLearning modules. Udemy WordPress Course. From late November to late December I worked solid on creating a Udemy course. The work didn’t end once I created the course, and it still hasn’t stopped.

I’m closing out 2014 with a bang after working tirelessly for a month trying to put out the highest quality Udemy course I could. I made an exception because I was driven to get this course done. What drove me?

It’s too easy to skate through them without ever coming into contact with anybody which also makes it easy to skate right out of it and drop the course. We all have our story of how we got to be an Instructional Designer, eLearning developer, etc. I’m even sad when a course goes into an LMS, it seems like such a waste.

I cannot count the number of eLearning courses or instructor led classes I’ve been in where I’ve learned nothing, I just take them because I have to. I do not think it’s fair for the instructor or designer of those courses to call me a learner. A bit of arrogance there? I’d say so.
