White Spaces and Mouse Slows down in Demo Video 2019

Hello,

I recorded Four Demo Videos in AC 2017 and Opened them in 2019 and there are white spaces within the video and the mouse slows down and then speed back up.

Any idea as to why this is happening and how to correct this? Very odd. I’m on a time crunch and unable to re-record the videos as there were complete in AC 2017.

I’m hoping someone would be able to shed some light on this issue.

Many thanks!

Nelda

@neldap….  Did you find a fix? How big are the video demo files you are talking about?  Did you try the trick to record the old file playing with the new Video Demo version in CP2019?

@swilworld  You are talking about PPT import, which is a totally different use case. For that import the resolution has indeed to be converted from the print units (weird that PPT uses pint units) to pixels.

The question in this thread is NOT about PPT import but about the recording tool included with Captivate, which is Video Demo.

Video Demo has been refurbished in CP2019, like the adding of recording screen and webcam simultanieously, green screen etc. That may be what is causing your problems.  What I would recommend is to publish with the version in which you created the Video Demo, which is CP2017.

Or, if it doesn’t have had a lot of editing, create a new Video Demo with CP2019 of the old published demo playing.

Aloha Nelda,

I’ve had the same situation with white space on the right side of the presentation once imported into Captivate 2019.  I had to change the page set up in my powerpoint presentation and then import into CP without any white spaces.  Hopefully, this can assist with your issue.
