That's when I turn to clip art and stock photography. And there's a lot of poor clip art and stock photography out there which is horribly cheesy and, worse still, over-used. I know that visuals are often used for the wrong reasons, typically as a form of decoration or as a way of filling a space.

In Move over stock photos, Poser's here , Cathy Moore looks at alternatives to stock photos, in which, she complains, the girls are always too thin, too pretty and too happy. You can get these figures to adopt whatever pose or expression you like - something that's not possible with clip art or stock photography.

It's probably because my graphic designer colleague David Kori has been indisposed for a couple of months while he prepares a new suite of learning materials for schools. I really can't see any snags at this price, which from what I can remember is a tint fraction of what you used to have to pay for stock photography.
