I get a lot of questions about number of slides or screen count per hour of instruction. Don’t Auto-Advance Slides. The problem with this is that if the person is a fast reader, it’s frustrating to wait for the slide to catch up. If the person is a slow reader, they won’t get everything they need before the slide advances.

In workshops we usually create a blank slide and then a box to represent all of those things above. One way to get started is to create three blank slides: one for each part of the 3C model. If you look at the image below, you can see that there’s nothing on the master slides because I didn’t use any master slides. Instead all of the persistent objects on the screen are copied over all of the slides. This means that each slide takes a little longer to publish. Didn’t take advantage of the master slides.

Also, if you want to print out the PowerPoint files, you have to remove all of the animations from the slide. You still have to remove the objects if you want to print the slides. So there’s no building of animations or cluttering your slides with content you have to remove prior to printing. Then add hyperlinks to those slides.

For example, let’s say on slide one, you want an image to move from one side of the screen to the other. Then on slide two, you want to start with the image in the new position.
