Curation is a good news bad news thing. The Cloud is everywhere and all we do will be linked into the cloud. And it is presented as good. However, often the are storm clouds too. Essentially all information is now in the cloud and available, but sometimes our job is truly to get less information. Or at lest key information. 30% of people get up and check email in the night. I’m getting ready for some exciting presentations this fall… mLearning DevCon in October and DevLearn in November! Will This Work on My iPad?  - This session is about facing the increasingly common quandry of doing elearning development that you don’t intend to be mobile — but your learners want it to work on their mobile devices anyway. This week I attended my first DevLearn, and as hyped as it was in the months prior to the event, it did not disappoint. DevLearn is one of the largest events in the learning industry; according to the conference website, 1,747 people registered for the event. Heather Johnson and Carolyn Stoll ’s Thinking Outside the Bubble: Learning with the iPad in the Real World. This session highlighted how the University of Cincinnati is using iPads in higher education. The session ended with a very useful group discussion on everyone’s favorite learning-related iPad apps. guess it’s not too much of a surprise, since vendors are now pretty much tripping over themselves to deliver content to the iPad (and now all mobile devices ), but it’s disturbing nonetheless. sat in on the HTML5 Morning Buzz at DevLearn and also presented on HTML5 authoring tools (and I will do a longer post on that soon, I promise).
