To say nothing exciting happened at DevLearn is to say, that the Mirage hotel, is still a great hotel, and the idea that some company plans to refurb it or rebuild it into something else is unheard of. On the plus side, or I hope not, DevLearn won’t be there in 2023 because a gutted hotel is not a place to have a show.

DevLearn 2014 Conference Review

For those of you unaware of DevLearn, the show has been around for years and is one of e-learning guild’s premier shows in my opinion. Seriously though, as a result of the broken bones in my foot and use of such scooter, I did not attend as many sessions as I wanted, but was able to stop by and take a deeper dive at many products.

Well back to another expo conference installment – this time it is DevLearn Day 1. Excluding the obvious authoring tools and some LMS vendors, I found these themes with numerous vendors attending the expo: Remediation – as in our product increases retention better than a LMS. Blame it on the LMS. Not the courses, the LMS.

Last week, I attended DevLearn. From products that ranged from the latest versions of RCATs to new vendors in the space, including text to speech. . FT’s Aura product. Simply put, one vendor has over 200 Flash-based templates in their product. With this product, you can collaborate in real time.

Top 11 to 20 Authoring Tools for 2013

Camtasia 8, Snag-it 1, ReviewLink (a fantastic product – but only for 10 courses? It comes with a “LMS” which is some analytics – similar to what is happening in the space (have to attend DevLearn to find out what that means. A product that has constantly appeared throughout 2013. Fun Features.

DevLearn – Las Vegas – Good show, and IMO, this year’s was the best one yet. And the winner is… DevLearn, Las Vegas. I recall a call I was on with a web conferencing vendor and we were using their product and whalla, it stopped working, so we had to talk via phone. . that was an important factor.
