In addition, she indicates if they are free or cost money – which is not quite the same thing as open source.

I’ve just spent the last few days overhauling the Learning Tools Directory. Over the last year there has been quite a lot of change one way or another in terms of tools. So I’ve just rebuilt this year’s Directory – which still lists well over 2,00o tools.

I am checking out DimDim , another web-conferencing tool. Setting up a meeting in Dimdim is very easy. You can kick off a meeting immediately or schedule it for later (including recurring meetings). The product lets you conduct online slide shows using PowerPoints and PDFs. You can annotate as you go and let users mark up, too.
