When WasteWatereducation.org hosts online /distance learning classes, or general education events for the public, we learned over 13 years ago that if you want to bore attendees to death use your standard old school ‘webinar’ format.

If you use the web, and you’re not engaging your clients, then you end up wasting both your, and their, time.

We host and create online/ on demand continuing education classes and courses. We have always strived to ensure a method to confirm the attendee has mastered the learning objectives AND can apply what they’ve learned to their own work / community environment.

Using a variety of methods, we first started to consider Adobe Captivate 2 years ago.

We were motivated by two incentives:
1) attending the outstanding Captivate tutorials given by Paul_Wilson – https://www.youtube.com/user/pauldavidwilson2002/videos

and

2) the proof from our analytics that a majority of our attendees now do so via a mobile device.

Responsive / mobile rendering has become a priority – and Adobe Captivate 2019 does that seamlessly across all platforms and devices. (Previously we had to supply work arounds for certain ones)

Like any expansive program, there is a learning curve and one which we are seeking to address by securing funding for the ‘back story’ of the coding while we concentrate on the content and design. If we had a larger staff we would certainly dedicate a full time position to this but for a better ROI, hire someone who can do the job in a fraction of the time?

The end result will be outstanding! Immersive learning, visually stunning interactivity, the ability to be just about anywhere and LEARN by seeing, doing, listening!

Take a look at our image above? We only have one home. And we need to use every tool in our tool box to motivate water professionals to take care of it. Thank you Adobe for a program that lets us paint in really vibrant colors.
