Learning Pool Live 2019: Ideas worth learning

Back for its 11th consecutive year, Learning Pool Live stands alone in the industry as a supplier event that gives delegates a real opportunity to be challenged on the latest thinking in learning technologies, network with like-minded professionals and get first sight of the future products that Learning Pool is taking to market in the next 12 months.

The Learning Pool team was back in their usual spot, The Brewery in London’s city district. Our home from home, it’s an elegant, 18th-century brewery recast as an events venue, with its original brick walls and interesting history it’s not unlike Learning Pool HQ.

“Learning Pool Live is the highlight of our year and last week’s event was a real step-up on previous events. It’s always great to see our customers and we welcome the opportunity to hear their feedback, suggestions and ideas.
This year we made our products the star of the show, with our silent demos running throughout the day. The feedback we received from customers was outstanding and our products shone through, providing a real insight into what a future workplace learning ecosystem will look like! It really is a massive achievement for all of the team and we can’t wait to start planning next year’s event.”

Paul McElvaney, Learning Pool Founder and CEO

Feedback from delegates has been astonishing with 85% of attendees rating the event as excellent. A lot of thanks goes to our fantastic keynote panel of Donald H Taylor, Ben Betts and Timandra Harkness and to our fabulous host, Jez Rose who gave a thought-provoking closing session and hilarious commentary throughout the day.

We also heard from some of our star customers in our Customer Success theatre, a huge thanks to Mike Stapely, The Entertainer, Michelle O’Neill, Worcester City Council, Dharmesh Chauhan, Domestic and General and Tara Webber, Hertfordshire County Council for sharing their stories.

Some of the presentations from the day can be found on Learning Pool’s SlideShare.

Of course, our delegates on the day are really the heart and soul and what makes Learning Pool Live really great. They made the day an open and welcoming event and we were delighted to have our annual awards back this year to celebrate best practice and innovation across our growing community of 800 global customers

It’s not just about presentations and awards though, we also love our community. Each year, L&D and HR professionals come together to share, network and catch up with old friends.

Our hashtag – #LearningPoolLive – saw some great tweets last week and took our message far beyond the event. Congratulations to Anne Harvey from Jurys Inn for winning our selfie competition!
