Publish Captivate 2019 Module to the Web

I need to publish my responsive module and post it to my school’s Black Board site. I’ve watch numerous help videos and read many posts about this, and they all walk me through the same process: publish to device, create a zip file, then upload it here to this site, then provide the link to my professor via Black Board. I have followed these steps, but the zip file will not upload. I get a message that says “Invalid File Type.”

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I used Blackboard in the past but that is quite a while ago.

At that moment you could upload two types of packages published from Captivate:

as a ‘package’, which is indeed a zipped folder where you instruct  BB to unzip it and to launch the index.html file. At that moment however I used SWF output (where the launch file is XXXX.htm and that worked perfectly. I was not able to test out the same workflow with HTML output. Since you talk about a responsive project, you have >HTML output.
as a SCO: that is the normal workflow with any LMS. You set up reporting in Captivate, you don’t necessarily need a quiz for it, you can use slide views as well in SCORM output. When you publish, the folder will automatically be zipped, don’t do it manually. You just have to upload it and BB will now how to handle such a SCO (usual term for a SCORM compliant asset).

You have to be sure that your BB version supports responsive output.

Just a tip: beware of videos, most of them are incomplete and do not tell everything you should know.
