Instructional Design Certificate or Masters Degree

Experiencing eLearning

I got a good question via Ask a Question yesterday and would like to hear some other opinions on this issue: I’m very seriously considering a career change into ID. (I’ve spent 20 years in various business assignments with the last 8 in IT.) I’m involved in teaching extra-curricular activities to kids and adults in my community. I very fulfilled when I’m teaching and I’ve come to the conclusion that I want to follow this as a career path.

How Widespread is Mobile Learning?

Kapp Notes

The other day at a presentation, a participant asked me how many companies have adopted mobile learning.was it widespread and if they where behind because they didn't have a full blown mobile learning roll out yet? The answer is that mobile learning is just now starting to get a foothold but it is not widespread by any means. In fact, two separate surveys indicate that m-learning is just now starting to become of interest to organizations.

Network-Feedback Question

eLearning Cyclops

This month's question on the Learning Circuits Blog is regarding the best place to network, or receive feedback. I have used Facebook, Linked In, and I blog, but I still find that user groups , such as groups in Google and Yahoo, have been the best way to network. It is a very easy way, via e-mail, to request and receive advice, feedback, and network among peers.

I sat in on a great lunchtime webinosh with Dr. Will Thalheimer on smile sheets. My live blogged notes were beautiful and then poof -- my machine crashed and my notes are gone. The sorrow. But it was great, and I highly recommend you attend his next session on context.
