Zooming in on conferences, certainly one of the biggest changes that I’ve seen in the past couple of years is the introduction of a “backchannel” which normally takes the form of a Twitter hashtag that participants are encouraged to use. learninglive had the distinction of being top trending hashtag on Twitter on day 2 of the conference.

Well presumably, more of the same i.e. user interfaces inspired by iGoogle, iPhone apps, Facebook, Twitter…and whatever other websites enter the mainstream. BBC, Amazon set expectations of functionality and look & feel for other web-based systems that we use. So what’s next in the LMS world?
