Here’s the marketing blurb: Mobile learning is not just a fad. | | | | | | | CLARK QUINN MAY 15, 2012 Mobile Changes Everything? As a prelude to a small webinar I’ll be doing next week (though it also serves to tee up the free Best of mLearnCon webinar I’ll be doing for the eLearning Guild next week as well, here’re some deliberately provocative thoughts on mobile: According to Tomi Ahonen , mobile is the fastest growing industry ever. I suggest that there are rich ways we can think about coupling mobile with work. To take full advantage, you have to consider mobile as a platform, not just a device. mobile strategySo why is this game-changing? And more. | CLARK QUINN MAY 10, 2012 New Mobile Report Out I’m happy to report that the eLearning Guild has just released this year’s mobile learning research report I authored for them (after doing the same last year). KAPP NOTES | MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2008 How Widespread is Mobile Learning? The other day at a presentation, a participant asked me how many companies have adopted mobile learning.was it widespread and if they where behind because they didn't have a full blown mobile learning roll out yet? The answer is that mobile learning is just now starting to get a foothold but it is not widespread by any means. Another study by the eLearning Guild of survey of 940 of its members indicated that only 9% or 84 organizations had actually implemented m-learning. The eLearning Guild found 33% of its members had no plans to implement mlearning. MORE >> -

CLARK QUINN | FRIDAY, MAY 21, 2010 Mobile as Main Mode As I was booking my travel to San Diego for the eLearning Guild’s mLearning conference, mLearnCon (June 15-17), I thought about a conference focusing on mobile learning versus the regular, full, elearning conference or even a full training conference (congrats to Training magazine pulling a phoenix). Similarly, increasingly, workers will be mobile. I’m thinking mobile could become the default target design, and desktop augments will be possible, versus the other way around. Yes, there are some folks who still eschew a mobile phone. MORE >>
