Software simulation Issue

I am working on a new software simulation.  I have done over twenty of these in an older version of Captivate with no issues.  Just received a new computer with the updated version of captivate and for some reason the simulation only shows the first and last slide i do with nothing in the middle.  Tried a number of times and no luck.  Is there something that changed in the newest version?  I have two monitors and set the simulation to record the application window.

I am having an issue with Software Simulations (Training). Whenever I do a Text Entry Box in the simulation, it won’t record it with a Text Entry Box, it will record with with “Typing Text”. I want the learner to be able to type there response (it is not a Demo). Any advice would greatly be appreciated!

Which version of Captivate do you use? Full version number can be found under Help, About Captivate. I heard that some versions did have that issue which is very annoying. Maybe just an upgrade could help you out?

Recording always opened the message, also in previous versions, to ‘Run as Administrator’ but that seems indeed to have become more critical in recent versions.

Changing dpiawareness to 1 instead of  is linked with the fact that you are now probably using a high density monitor, so-called retina screen. Recording needs to be done at a setting of px/px. That is what happens with that change in the ini file

It was not sure when you experienced the problem? If you are previewing in Browser you need to know that AutoPlay is now turned off for all published output to HTML.

Do you run Captivate as Administrator? That is really necessary for recording.

Moreover: the application to captured needs to be on the primary monitor, and it has to be set up with 100% display percentage, 1px/px

Is this something new to 2019?  Previously with 2017 I never experienced any issues.  also when I opened captivate the first time an error message said I had to change the adobecaptivate.ini setting to 2.  Did not have to do this previously.
