Just enjoyed an interesting half hour testing out the Elluminate Live! I spoke then on wikis and social network tools and how they can be used to support nomadic learners. If you haven't been to one, it's well worth the trip if only for the networking opportunities (people not computers, obviously). Looking forward to it.

School has confused us into thinking learning is about information dumps, not “tuning the network&#. 2D synchronous learning (WebEx, Elluminate, etc.). 1+2 = People want networked virtual spaces that include 2D synch + knowledge sharing (1+2). 3+4 = 3D Social Networking. 3+4 = 3D Social Networking.

LiveLabs: not simulations, using the actual network tools & hardware. Tried to show video of Meet Charlotte, but video doesn’t work well over Elluminate. A map lays out the whole journey, but you can’t remember the whole journey at once so you end up using it incrementally anyway. Andy McGovern.
