One of my aspirations for this year has been to find a way to embed what we know about learning process into social business environments. Most of our pitiful attempts to enhance learning with technology have been focused on the technology, not on the social or collaborative aspects that make it successful ultimately.

Does this mean all business is going to be carried out using common processes that embed best practices? Web Services integrate the enterprise with the outside world, connecting business to business, just as the Web connected consumers to businesses in the last decade. Not on your life.

In lieu of yellow highlighting, Kindle lets me embed comments. Jumping to major sections requires returning to the top menu. Riffing through the pages isn't an option. There's no way to scan for illustrations. I find this less visceral. Also, I can't indicate intensity. Li and Bernoff's book is off to a slow start.
