Chartered Accountants picks Janison for online exams

By

Chartered Accountants, the professional membership body and regulator of accountants in Australia and New Zealand will use the Janison Insights online assessment platform and Janison Remote proctoring technology to deliver the online exams for all five core modules of the Chartered Accountants Program.

The Chartered Accountants Program is the main pathway to membership of Chartered Accountants, and the Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting course is accredited by the Australian Government's Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency.

ASX-listed Janison will deliver approximately 25,000 Chartered Accountants exams to more than 100 countries annually, starting in early 2021.

The company's system provides for remote invigilation, and around one fifth of all questions will be double marked.

Janison Insights also provides quality control measure including blind quality monitoring and standardisation.

Other benefits of the technology include reduced operational risk thanks to digitisation and remote marking, faster processing of examination results, more authentic assessments, improved overall assessment quality, and the ability to offer courses and exams practically anywhere in the world.

"We're delighted about being selected to work with such a respected an organisation as Chartered Accountants," said Janison CEO David Caspari.

"This partnership is an endorsement of our technology's ability to deliver reliable, quality-assured online testing and marking in a stringent high-stakes testing environment. We look forward to assisting Chartered Accountants to assure its business continuity well into the future and furthering its reach globally."

The deal is said to be worth $5 million.
