Are you at ATD 2016? Stop by Docebo HQ to preview the latest in online training software

Denver, it’s so good to see you! ATD 2016 is off to a great start, like any proper industry conference these days, with an inspiring keynote from none other than Simon Sinek. Meanwhile, our team is already busy sharing what’s new on the Docebo platform with clients and visitors from across the globe.

Our team is going to be interacting with ATD attendees in the expo hall for the next three days, demonstrating and sharing our newest products that address informal and social learning, Docebo Coach and Share. This is also the first time our friends and clients can preview Docebo’s new mobile application, coming soon for iOS and Android.

Drop by Booth 1246 for a live demo of our online training software Docebo Learn, Coach and Share. Our team in the expo hall represent each part of the Docebo family, so whether you need to speak with an account executive, a learning and support representative or one of our customer success managers, there’s someone here looking forward to answering your questions.

If you’re at the event or just living vicariously through your talent development colleagues, here are the details on a few sessions you may enjoy (some even have early previews of their presentations on the ATD site.)

Transforming Sales Managers Into Sales Leaders
Monday, 1 p.m.
Presenters: Leonard Cochran, Manager of Learning Programs at Hilton Worldwide; Renie McClay, Learning Project Manager at Caveo Learning and Terrence Donahue, Corporate Director of Learning at Emerson Electric, Inc.

An important part of sales enablement is raising the bar and developing the role of sales managers. Many companies have good sales managers; they are good at managing the tasks that need to be done. But how do we transform a sales manager into a sales leader? This panel will assist learning leaders in developing their sales managers into sales leaders who want to raise the bar of performance of their team. The speakers will leverage audience input and interaction to identify leadership challenges and barriers and then identify solutions.

Speed Dating with LMS Vendors
Monday, 3 p.m.
Presenter: Katrina Baker, author of “LMS Success!”

Finding the right learning management system (LMS) for your organization can be a daunting, time-consuming process. In this session, you’ll get to “meet” several top LMS vendors! See their user interfaces, hear about their best features, and get unbiased leads that will help you identify the best system for your company.

ATD Forum 2 – Learning by Doing: The Value of Experiential Learning
Monday, 3 p.m. (Can’t be in two places at once? Download Katrina Baker’s presentation on LMS Vendors here.)
Presenters: Alissa Weiher, Talent Management for Cochlear; Sandi Maxey, Senior VP for Sandy Spring Bank and Don Stanley, Employee Development Operations Manager for W.W. Grainger

Experiential learning is an umbrella term encompassing learning that occurs through action learning, on the job, through simulations and serious games, or by other means that provide experiences from which participants derive new knowledge or skills. Many trainers think of experiential learning as time-consuming, difficult, and complicated, but there are simple techniques for this approach that can be incorporated into a variety of situations.

Led by senior talent development practitioners from award-winning organizations, and supported by ATD Forum member table facilitators, during this lab session, you will have the opportunity “learn by doing” as you participate in experiential learning and the many ways it can be used.

Learn more about Docebo’s approach to experiential learning with online training software (with the upcoming release of Coach and Share) in this post.

Whether you’re here with us in Denver or back home, our team would be happy to schedule a custom demonstration of Docebo mobile, as well as Coach and Share, two new modules that address social and informal learning. Contact our team to schedule a meeting today.
