Looking at Capital City Bank from the outside, I wouldn’t have expected to find a great example of social learning inside. Because the answers are stored in the discussion forum, they can be seen by everyone and can later be searched. She set up sample questions with answers to provide context and initial categories for the questions.

Do a search, such as for "cancer" and you get a page with a sidebar that looks like the one shown to the left. Helps you navigate through it using a browse mode in combination with search. The way I use LinkedIn Answers is to ask specific questions (never open ended or partially thought out the way I do in a blog) that I want to get specific answers or find people with expertise who I can't seem to find by searching LinkedIn normally. A great example is accessing an eLearning course. Most LMS products (out-of-the-box) require you to search, register and then launch the course. If you want the content to be searchable through your Intranet search mechanism, most LMS products get in your way (even though the content may be easily indexed by the search mechanism).
