Half the time, the speaker/presenter knew what they were talking about, with examples and a straightforward approach for anyone; and the other half, you questioned how did this person pass the requirements to present?

VR is it on Life Support for L&D?

Raise your hand if you attended a seminar at a trade show and walked away, excited about this new technology and how it can be utilized for L&D/Training. Raise your hand if you put on a VR headset at a trade show or seminar. I doubt someone will drop $100 for 100 seat licenses for example. . Wait there’s more.

Hybrid Workplace – Will ILT become a relic?

I am not referring to you attending a trade show, where folks are presenting, that’s not really ILT (well, I never met anyone in training or L&D that sees a trade show seminar as ILT).

Cohort-Based Online Learning – Ready.Set…

They have a new UI/UX update rolling out by the end of Q4, with some expanded feature sets – updating the mentor dashboard, for example. To me, it reminds me of the days of people hiring “Experts” to do an on-site F2F seminar or activity. Post in two weeks, with the pros/areas to improve will include NovoEd.

I say it because it should be extremely obvious to anyone, especially when the other course options which I do see are classroom (ILT, Face to Face) or ILT, webinar (not highly used, but that means web based seminar, in EdTech they love to say flipped classroom – it is a web conferencing, with a boring approach).

Just think about that, from an ILT standpoint, or seminars. HTC by the way, shows some amazing examples of XR on their web site. You could have a presenter at one location, presenting, asking and answering questions, and being seen by others in real-time (with low to no latency), anywhere else in the world. Can we do it today?
