Progressive web apps eliminate the need to have a native mobile app specific to a mobile OS, and thus eliminate the need for someone to go into the Apple store, Google Play and so on and download the native mobile app. I note Alexa because most folks are aware of it, but again, it could be Google Home, and other players. .
