Around this time I was getting into Facebook. I had become a “fan&# of a couple of other sports clubs (eg Wests Tigers) when I noticed there was no Facebook page dedicated to the Australian national football team. Lo and behold, Facebook never replied. The Socceroos, the pride of a nation, has 144,378 fans on Facebook.

The best service providers around the world make it really easy for customers to lodge complaints. If a particular demographic of your customer base is hooked on social media, why not provide a Twitter presence or a Facebook page or a discussion forum in which to attract, contain and manage the discourse? A complaint is a gift.
