Flash vs HTML5. Flash still isn’t dead despite of the problem on mobile platforms. The other trend he sees is that everything will be moving to the cloud sooner or later. Mobile does affect the type of content that is being created. Lessons are becoming shorter, delivered just in time and more social.

Everybody now understands that Flash is dead (no matter how unbelievable that seemed a year and a half ago). All these developments are still here, but none of them was really leading at ICE.

#LSCON 2012: trends

There were a lot of sessions about this topic, or mobile publications, because we all want to include flash like elements in our IOS publications. Last year at LSCON people where a bit in disbelieve (flash dead, no way!), this year I didn’t hear anybody about Flash. It seems acceptance of HTML5 is on his way. Data mining.

Just think of it for a moment. You now can put learning in an app and measure the results.

#LSCon 13 Day 3 Keynote and wrap up

Last year we had the rise of TinCan and HTML5 vs Flash, this is still there but it is not new. The main themes are mobile (and TinCan), performance support, creating more attractive (less boring) eLearning. A bit the same as last year. For me the most informative session was from the AICC about CMI-5.
