Mobile does affect the type of content that is being created. Flash vs HTML5. Flash still isn’t dead despite of the problem on mobile platforms. The other trend he sees is that everything will be moving to the cloud sooner or later. Lessons are becoming shorter, delivered just in time and more social.

Just over 30% of the companies are implementing mobile, the rest is too afraid for security risks. Everybody now understands that Flash is dead (no matter how unbelievable that seemed a year and a half ago).

In 2016 contracts were signed with companies like Nielsen, T-Mobile and Unilever. We already facilitate content curation in a unique way and we will extend the number of content types that we support: best practices, flash cards, how to documents and more. And Easygenerator is doing this.

#LSCon 13 Day 3 Keynote and wrap up

The main themes are mobile (and TinCan), performance support, creating more attractive (less boring) eLearning. Last year we had the rise of TinCan and HTML5 vs Flash, this is still there but it is not new. Great stories were told, it was entertaining, but I didn’t get any ‘Aha moment’, no big new insights. A bit the same as last year.

People will take your course via their mobile, their tablets or their PC’s. In order to do that you need to select a tool that is a responsive (that means it will adapt to the screen size automatically) and secondly, make sure it does not use flash (not supported on tablets and many mobile devices).
