The learning object interface feels a little awkward, but that is easily overlooked for its price tag … free. It appears to have decent documentation to help you get started,

KeepVid offered both (save as FLV and save as MP4) and a nice bookmarklet as well. To get it in Flash Video Format / FLV - you can use the little tool provided by TechCrunch . I needed to figure out how to download YouTube videos for an upcoming conference presentation where I wasn't confident that I would be able to have a good enough connection to play the video. I found that there was a very nice bookmarklet to Download as MP4 Files : One way is to save the following link as a bookmarklet by dragging it to your Links bar (in Firefox, Safari) or right-clicking and adding

For rapid elearning converting to the SWF and FLV Flash formats are important and Format Factory supports this. I mainly use it to convert FLV to other media for easy editing since I can’t find an easy FLV editor.
On a side note, if you are looking for an FLV editor, you might try the RichFLV editor . I get a lot of questions from blog readers who are on a limited budget. They want to know about free tools that they can use to build their elearning courses.
