Check out Google Wave. Google Wave does something similar with content. It allows you to take rich media content (images plus text plus…) and mark out / embed rich media content within that content. Buzz without the munchies

Janet Clarey

So I sit down at my desk this morning, opened up Gmail as I always do and noticed Google Buzz. read like 61 trillion tweets about  Google Buzz over the past few days so, of course, I was fatigued with it to begin with. Tweets, blog posts, RSS feed just loaded with it. I was expecting someone to say at breakfast,  &# hey, did you try Google Buzz…what’s that about?&# (no one would ever say that to me at breakfast though… make me eggs! However, being a student of the social web, I jumped right in. So my point is, I was not enthusiastic.

How social media got linked to my blog thanks to Mike Bogle and Disqus

Ignatia Webs

Thanks to Mike I got hold of the Disqus software that enables you or anyone who reads a blogpost to comment through her or his favorite social media site (well not all social media sites are possible, but still it has some major ones enabled). Which allows all of us to read comments in a more dialoged/natural way (why wait for Google wave to use threads in this way?).

What are these? But it makes sense.

think the growing popularity of social media apps on mobile devices will assist with a growth of social learning (I consider social/informal learning on mobile devices m-learning too). Google Wave will be released as a much less cumbersome application than the current beta version, but will struggle with adoption by general public. This will include better search functions, a mobile app that actually works (yes, I went there), and a TweetChat style app (increasing its ability to function as a social learning tool). Google Buzz in eLearning

Upside Learning

The web is abuzz with talk of Google Buzz. Buzz is to email what Wave will eventually be to real-time collaboration around email thread and embedded documents or media. Let Google do the explaining –. Google keeps a lot of these features are in perpetual beta, it’s early days yet and who knows how this new tool will evolve. What does buzz do?

eLearning Predictions Further Thoughts

Tony Karrer

Social Learning Communities It was interesting that ASTD DC / Todd Slater has created a Ning community. That certainly goes along with what we’ve done with LearnTrends and what’s going on with social learning. If you are working for a company that falls in the first category (no social media please), its better that you install a Twitter mobile app on your cell phone and not use the office computer at all for tweeting. Google Wave as a Mashup? must look into Google Wave as the basis for social interaction that goes along with a course.
