For those of you that use web-based aggregators like Google Reader but have not yet made room for Tweets, Twitter is an aggregator on steroids. Where Facebook and LinkedIn serve mainly as social dashboards for our personal and professional networks, respectively, I see Twitter as a customized information portal.

Right now, this is “Tier 1″ Proprietary with some customization (like Facebook & MySpace). Google Sites for the wiki. Social networking is driven by the desire of people to “demonstrate themselves&#. Predicts a tiered structure will develop. Owned by major companies. Tools Used: Used Weblog.com to create the blog.

MySpace is clearly behind in the corporate eLearning world. delicious, Picassa, Ning, Google Docs/Google Apps, Second Life, Blogger, iGoogle, orkut, FriendFeed, Internal workplace community, PBWiki, Xing, Digg, Friendster (really?), Facebook use is higher than I would have thought.

I had a MySpace back when you could only have eight top friends. Here's a bit of what I learned about social media marketing: Companies should have Facebook pages, but since it's the Facebook fan pages that are indexed and updated in real-time by Google, it is preferable to make a fan page for your business rather than a profile.
