I still maintain that it's helpful to keep an eye on these things. Also, it only indicates what the presenters and conference organizers (for that data set) thought that the audience would be interested in and was worth presenting at the conference. Seems so long ago. :) How about 2005 ?

What about Adobe products vs. Articulate vs. Qarbon ? I'm not sure I buy asking for help from training standards, but there seems to be a need to have some ways to get through the clutter to understand how to structure things. Programmers are very much used to accessing code examples, reference libraries, seeking and getting help, etc.

Another factor that helps us reduce costs is using high quality talent that is in ample supply. We use professional stage and film actors for our voice over and great talent is readily available in NYC, which suprisingly has helped to reduce costs. Talent is expensive and poor talent is even more expensive.
