I consider myself super techie guy and I know HTML and some JavaScript. I’ve also seen HTML too. When you think of many administrators (and this is no slight intended), knowing even HTML is unlikely. Heck, most Training Directors, L/D folks and HR folks do not know HTML.

The HTML editor basic is free. HTML 292 Kit – I use this, but I am a major tech geek. HTML Kit also offers a paid version, however, 292 is free and offers more than enough. I never used them, so I cannot tell you one way or another how good they are. MAC OS X Only Paid. Coda – Never used it, but I have heard mixed reviews.

Articulate, Captivate and Lectora – Do they deserve your praise?

Engage is the only product you can edit the HTML – using a HTML Kit. Articulate loves to say that Engage is used often, but from folks I have spoken with who use the product, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Granted the changes are limited but at least it is something. The rest you can’t. .

Product Review: Mzinga OmniSocial

You can choose to add advertisements (there is an icon for that), images, text, mail, role select and HTML. Excluding the HTML option, everything else follows a WYSIWYG manner, so if you do not know HTML, no worries. The Header and Footer is equally slick. Applications. What can I say?
