Tags: Ideas measurement social learning socialnetworkin I am often asked by business leaders to describe what we intend to measure in order to understand, manage, and improve the networked (or social) learning eco-system. In a working day for most of us it is normal to exchange ideas, share information, and construct things together. The tutor is mediator and monitor, while students set the questions and challenges, provide the feedback, swap ideas and seek answers together. Working together, learners can test their beliefs and ideas on one another. In my childhood, school was rather like the public library; you sat alone in silence until your work was done. More contemporary views of learning and information favour collaboration, connection and social intercourse.

Again here, the idea that we could develop a multiplayer simulation that demands collaboration from learners to achieve simulation outcomes; encouraging teamwork and emulating the real world where collaboration is necessary for success.
Video is effective for learning; customized high definition, anytime video will have a greater idea.
The iPad is here. After all the hype, which it didn’t quite live up to, there was a lot of commentary web-wide on whether it’s suitable for elearning, or a specific type of learning.

Creativity Design Ideas Learning Learning 2. In my previous post I asked the question, 'Is Autonomous Learning the same as Informal Learning?' It wasn’t tested, it was just an idea. One of the core ideas was the law of the few , or the notion that a few key types of people help to speed social communication. They are the people who dedicate a great deal of their lives to selling people on their ideas.
I’ve noticed that this is what has happened with some of the ideas that I’ve I use the chasm model to explain my professional work of 1) seeing what is ready to cross the chasm by 2) staying connected to the innovators & being an early adopter so that 3) I can help mainstream organizations.

It is more about why people hang on to ideas that ample evidence indicates are not true. It is really the very essence of education and learning as isn't just about all learning a matter of processing new ideas to replace older less well-formed ideas. It's what my 4 year old boy is doing all the time (and he's very happy and ready to throw away his 3 year old ideas for the more up to date 4 year old version). Where am I coming from? Over the last few months I've read a number of blog posts about learning styles (see references at end of post).
