Perhaps the next generation of Articulate QuizMaker will make all this extra work redundant? , I complained how difficult it was with current rapid development tools to write more conversational inductive questions in which you as author are able to comment on each selection that the user makes.

You have no idea. I would have seen more complexity options here to import, rather than PowerPoint, Quizmaker, Engage (a nice offering underutilized in my opinion), Storyline or Questions from file. Then I used it. Then I cried (uh, not really, but go with it). Disappointed? Understatement. Immediate thoughts? Break it down.

The first slide is a Flash animation and the CPR simulation was created in Quizmaker ‘09. Here’s a quick demo that shows some of these ideas in action. Looking at it, I assumed that it had more slides and a few more bells and whistles. But that’s not the case. For the most part it’s all PowerPoint.

Find layout and color scheme ideas from other sources. Look at best of breed web or graphic design sites to get ideas for the way you want your screen to look. Do a search for CSS templates and you’ll find all types of sites that have unique ideas. The idea’s not to steal a design. Ryan McVay. Best one yet.
