They’re also not including images when context is needed. There’s also a lack of visual support. They’re not including diagrams when it’s conceptual relationships that need understanding. They shouldn’t necessarily be blamed, because they don’t need the support and can’t even imagine that others do!

What is are the typical variations on multiple choice: drag and drop, image clicks, etc. Note that the thinking here also covers a variety of interaction possibilities, again drag’n’drop, image links, etc. However, those tools aren’t ubiquitous. The question is, can we use these to do good things? I want to say yes.

I would prefer another search engine, probably DuckDuckGo, but I’m not facile with it, for instance finding images. I use Pixabay many times to find images. A set of trusted web resources : That’d be Wikipedia, pretty much. And online magazines, such as eLearnMag and Learning Solutions , and ones for my personal interests.

There are some non-0bvious factors in note taking. As the article points out, there are numerous benefits possible by taking notes digitally.

I keep a number of images on the qPhone and qPad for sharing, but except for family photos, I prefer the tablet. So if you need to show something to someone, or work with them together on something, tablets are a nicer solution. You can sit together looking at the screen, going through things, pointing to things, even acting on them.

I find that I have to frequently rearrange to fit the mindmap appropriately to the image, but that’s part of the benefit. The evidence appears to show that mindmapping is superior to note-taking. I don’t do it all the time, but there are reasons to think you should.

And I hadn’t figured out how to do an image search with DuckDuckGo (something I do a fair bit) the last time I tried, so that hadn’t been a search option.
