I really enjoy using Google to search images. PowerPoint image for Aha! I like to see the person I’m talking with. Also, Skype’s great for talking with a group of people at once. Many times I’ll be searching my own sites. They are very useful when I’m trying to get different perspectives on a concept.

I’ve learned a number of tips and tricks: word order matters; capitalization doesn’t matter; filter image searches by color; use Command-F to pop up a text search of a page. A Google scientist leads you through five lessons per class, each followed by a simple quiz which is graded on the spot. The instructor is folksy.

Before you guys tell me you can already do that by jury-rigging your set-up, show me a recording of this being done. Most presenters I’ve watched never go beyond the default settings.
