Demonstration Mode not recording simulation and does not register the camera shutter sound

I have made many demonstrations so I a familiar with how captivate should work.  currently I am creating a demonstration and it is acting differently than normal.  it does not capture each action as I go through my process, I know it is not working because I can not hear the camera shutter when maneuvering through the application.  I am forced to tap a key each time I want to capture an image which I believe this is a manual process.  Please advise as to what the fix is

You have to capture on the primary monitor, not on the second one.  Do you capture with the setting ‘Run as Administrator’?

Did you change something since the last time you captured a simulation? Some ideas: you are capturing a web application, not an app installed on your system. If you have multiple monitor setup, do you capture on the primary screen? Do you run Captivate as Administrator, which sees to be more critical in recent versions?

Thank you for your quick response, I don’t believe I changed anything since I last recorded.  I was recording in the mode I normally record i.e. second monitor, recording application for training on our intranet. This application was working now all of a sudden the application is not recording any of the screen images nor is it sending the shutter sound associated with the recording of the simulation.  when I end the recording it will record the last slide and I also hear the camera shutter.  I thank you for your input.
