Too much information. More important advances in the future will be our advances in dealing with information & problem solving, not in computer technology ( he was quoting someone–didn’t catch who, and this is only a paraphrase ). If you follow dull people on Twitter, Twitter will be boring.

An example is using Yammer or Twitter so that participants can have contacts in between face-to-face events, but the core is in the face-to-face. (2) Ning or LinkedIn group) to start exchanging online related to the topics of the trajectory. (3) Or invite them to stay in touch through Twitter.

Informal learning, like the scenario above, takes place constantly in most organisations. It is estimated that probably as much of 80% of learning within an organisation is informal, with formal training constituting the other 20%. What is informal learning? How can informal learning be harnessed?

We managed to let people connect beforehand through a platform (ning ) and afterwards link participants to other networks or initiatives (like the outcome mapping community ). Last year we experimented with a ning platform, a twitter account and a few videos. In ning, there is a new application which is called member-mix.
