I tried to find information from the eLearningGuild, but had a hard time finding anything. How would you potentially proceed through this list? Maybe it's money well spent to buy the report? You can certainly go back and look at: LMS Satisfaction Features and Barriers.

DHTML authoring tool - My preference is OutStart Trainer (TrainerSoft). I expect either it or Yammer to play a larger role for informal learning at my company. Adobe Captivate - Fantastic for creating simulations (software sims and branching sims), plus it does a good job recording audio for your sims.

We are already seeing the impact of social media and informal learning, but we will see it blend immensely with both classroom and e-learning. There are already great cloud tools out there, but I think we will see more e-learning development tools at the level of Flash, Captivate, Articulate, OutStart Trainer, etc. on the cloud.

I'm hoping to do a lot of case studies over the next 6-12 months looking at interesting examples of the use of social/informal/web 2.0 And then they would sometimes take these answers and create new pockets of information which made the situation even worse. Employees needed to be able to find information with a few clicks of a mouse.

I don't know if I've seen this reported by the eLearningGuild , but their reports showed some interesting information about satisfaction levels reported by members on course authoring and rapid eLearning tool satisfaction levels.
