PWLE Not PLE - Knowledge Work Not Separate from Learning

There will be Social Network Operating Systems that will allow us to pull together our highly personal environment. But, too much structure is not going to work. To me, it does not make sense to look at using one environment (an LMS or PLE) as part of learning and another environment as part of knowledge work.

I installed a wireless home network this weekend, and it was a lot harder than I thought it should have been (three XP computers and a TiVo with new Linksys wireless stuff). So I spent an hour doing knowledge work. I spent over an hour going online, Googling user groups, until I got what I needed to configure everything.
