At FocusOn Learning, Viddler (Booth 409) will introduce a major upgrade to its online learning portal offering, the Viddler Training Suite (VTS).

The upgrade includes an easy-authoring interface for adding multiple-choice questions to any point in the video timeline (Figure 1). Each answer can also include a “jump to” entry, taking the user to a specified point in the video. VTS will also track and report individual user responses to these questions—to help instructors, managers, and administrators measure learning progress.

VTS already provides individual usage statistics for training-video content. It also gives team leaders or members the ability to numerically rate performances on practice videos created via webcam or uploaded from a mobile device. Managers or team leaders can view average performance rating scores. With the latest upgrade, they can now also view user responses to in-video questions.

Measurement is key

“Our clients have been pleased with Viddler’s numeric scoring capability,” said sales manager Darryl Rentz. “This new feature gives trainers even more control over the learning experience. The ability to create and track multiple-choice questions is especially valuable in creating an engaging learning experience with video.”

The new question interface and reporting feature is the first of several enhancements planned for Viddler Training Suite this year.

The improved portal will be shown at the Viddler booth during the FocusOn Learning 2016 Conference & Expo next week at the JW Marriott in Austin. To schedule a demo or interview at the event, contact Darryl Rentz (darryl@viddler.com) or call Viddler at +1.888.444.1119.
